This User Guide is written as general guide on how to set up the Htek phone models: UC862, UC802, and UC803.
This chapter describes how to install and connect the phone to the electrical power and data network as well as how to apply factory settings.

Connect the Network and Power
NOTE: If you are using Power over Ethernet (PoE), you do not need to connect the AC adapter. Make sure the Ethernet cable and router or switch is Power over Ethernet (PoE) compliant.
Connect the Network (only)
Using a regular ethernet cable, your phone can be powered from a Power over Ethernet (PoE) compliant router or switch.
Reset to factory settings.
This step is not required for out-of-the-box phones, however, if the phone has already been used then it is a must.

1. Login to the PBXware web administration interface
2. UAD settings
Navigate to Settings:UAD.
Make sure the Htek UAD is enabled. To check the UAD status, click on the edit icon corresponding to your Htek phone.
Make sure Status is set to Active, Auto provisioning is set to No, and DHCP is set to Yes.
Click on the Save button to save changes.
1. Add Extension
Local is for all extensions registered on the LAN and Remote is for all extensions registered from remote networks, WAN, Internet etc.
2. Extension values
Enter values into the required field text boxes.
REQUIRED FIELDS:
Enter a name for the extension being created. Example: John Smith.
Enter the e-mail address associated with this extension. This e-mail address will receive all system notification messages. For example: john.smith@bicomsystems.com .
Select a department to which the extension belongs. Select 'none' if not applicable.
This chapter describes how to register a HTek phone using Hostname or IP Address.
1. Login to the phone web administration interface
REQUIRED FIELDS:
Make sure the Yes radio box is selected.
- Example for Hostname: voip.bicomsystems.com
- Example for IP Address: 192.168.1.10
UDP, TCP, TLS.
PBXware extension number. Example: 1003
Usually the same number as the Phone Number.
The Secret of the extension as received in the e-mail associated with this extension. Example: _%Z4M3*Ts9y7. A password is generated automatically for each newly created extension.
This chapter describes how to set UAD settings, create a PBXware extension, and register the phone using DHCP or a Static IP address. NOTE: Auto Provisioning with DHCP or Static IP using HTTP or HTTPS is not supported for HTek phones.

1. Add Extension

This chapter describes how to register a Htek phone using TFTP.
1. Login to phone web administration interface
If there is no DHCP in your network, you can still auto provision your Htek phone. Please refer to your HTek phone model User Guide for instructions about setting a static IP address. After you configure your HTek phone to use a static IP address, continue with the following steps.
- Example for Hostname: tftp://voip.bicomsystems.com/
- Example for IP Address: tftp://192.168.1.10/
You will have to wait for the device to save the changes.

2. Edit extension
1. Login to the phone's web administration interface
2. Click on Function Keys.
3. Click on Memory Key.
4. Select key on which you would like to add BLF.
5. In Type, select BLF
6. Add value (Extension)
7. Click Save Set to save
8. Restart
