
This Configuration Guide provides step-by-step instructions for configuring the Fanvil V66 for use with PBXware. Support for the V66 is available starting with PBXware version 8.2.
Before starting the configuration, verify that you have the correct Fanvil phone model.
The model information is printed on the label located on the back of the phone. Ensure that your device is a Fanvil V66, as this guide applies specifically to that model.

To check the PBXware version:

The Release field indicates the exact version of your PBXware.

NOTE: If you are using Power over Ethernet (PoE), you don't need to connect the AC adapter. Make sure that your network switch or router supports Power over Ethernet (PoE).
Using a regular Ethernet cable, your device can be powered from a Power over Ethernet (PoE) compliant router or switch.
To access the device web interface, first identify the IP address assigned to the Fanvil V66.
The device's IP address is displayed in the IP field.
This step is not required for brand-new, out-of-the-box phones. However, if the phone has been previously used, performing a factory reset is recommended.

Usually the same as the PBXware extension number.
The Secret of the Extension as received in the e-mail associated with this Extension. Example: _%Z4M3*Ts9y7. A password is generated automatically for each newly created Extension.
Enter the Hostname or IP Address of PBXware.

NOTE: The MAC address can be found on the label at the back of the phone.

Open a web browser and enter the phone's IP address to access the web administration interface. Example: http://192.168.1.22
Log in to the phone's web administration interface using your username and password. By default, the username is admin and the password is admin.
Navigate to Auto Provision.
Enter the Auto Provisioning username and password into the Authentication Name and Authentication Password fields.
Ensure that the Download CommonConfig enabled check box is not selected.
Expand the Static Provisioning Server section.
Select the desired Protocol Type: HTTP, HTTPS, or TFTP. NOTE: We recommend using HTTP.
If you decide to use HTTP, enter http:// followed by Hostname or IP Address, then followed by /prov in the Server URL field.
