
This Configuration Guide provides step-by-step instructions for configuring the Fanvil Linkvil W710H base station for use with PBXware. Support for the W710H base station is available starting with PBXware version 8.2.
Before starting the configuration, verify that you have the correct Fanvil devices.
The model information is printed on the label located on the back of both the W710H base station and the W610H handset. This guide applies specifically to the Fanvil Linkvil W710H base station used with the W610H handset. Other Fanvil models may require different configuration steps.

The Release field indicates the exact version of your PBXware.
This section explains how to power on the Fanvil Linkvil W710H base station and W610H handset, connect the base station to a network, locate its IP address, and restore the system to its factory default settings.

The W710H base station can be powered using either Power over Ethernet (PoE) or an external power adapter.
NOTE: If you are using Power over Ethernet (PoE), you don't need to connect the AC adapter. Make sure that the Ethernet cable and router or switch are Power over Ethernet (PoE) compliant.
Before configuring the device, ensure that the W710H is operating in Manager mode.
NOTE: After rebooting, the W710H operates in Manager mode.
To access the W710H base station's web administration interface, you must first determine its IP address.
This step is not required for a brand-new, out-of-the-box device. However, if the W710H base station has been previously used, performing a factory reset is recommended before configuration.

Navigate to Extensions, then click Add Extension.
The standard options window will open.
Select the Fanvil W710H base station from the UAD dropdown menu.
Select the Location: Local or Remote.
Click the Next step button.
2. Extension Values
Enter values into the required field text boxes.
REQUIRED FIELDS:
Enter a name for the extension being created. Example: John Smith.
Enter the e-mail address associated with this extension. This e-mail address will receive all system notification messages. Example: john.smith@bicomsystems.com

This section describes how to register the W710H base station using Hostname or IP Address.
Before creating a SIP account, you must configure the SIP server.

Enter a descriptive name for the SIP server. Example: PBXware.
Enter the PBXware Hostname or IP Address. Example: pbx.company.com or 192.168.1.10
Enter the SIP port used by the PBXware server. The default value is 5060.

SIP Account Name
A descriptive name for the SIP account. Example: John Smith
Server Name
Select the previously configured PBXware server from the drop-down list.
User Number
Enter the PBXware extension number. Example: 1003
Authentication User
Enter the PBXware extension number. Example: 1003
Authentication Password
Enter the extension Secret as provided in the PBXware extension details. Example: _%Z4M3*Ts9y7
Click Confirm to save the SIP account.
Verify that the account status changes to Registered (green status indicator).
To confirm successful registration, dial *123 from the registered handset.
After creating the SIP account, assign it to the desired handset.

NOTE: The MAC address can be found on the label at the back of the base station.

Authentication Name
Enter the Auto Provisioning username.
Authentication Password
Enter the Auto Provisioning password.
Download CommonConfig Enabled
Ensure this option is disabled.
Configure the following settings:
Server Address
Enter the PBXware Hostname or IP Address. Example: pbx.company.com or 192.168.1.10
Configuration File Name
Enter: /prov/$mac.cfg
Protocol Type
Select HTTP, HTTPS, or TFTP. NOTE: HTTP is recommended.
Update Mode
Select Update After Reboot.
Click Apply to save the configuration.
Scroll to the Autoprovision Now section.
Click Autoprovision Now.
Wait for the base station to download the configuration and reboot automatically.
After the base station has completed the auto provisioning process, assign the provisioned SIP extension to the desired handset.

This section describes how to pair a W610H handset with the W710H base station.

SSID
Enter the wireless network name.
Old Password
Enter the current wireless password. If the default credentials are still in use, enter i+0%aY81.
New Password
Enter the new wireless password.
Confirm Password
Re-enter the new wireless password.
On the W610H handset:
Once the handset has successfully connected to the wireless network, it automatically registers with the W710H Manager.

To apply additional configuration settings for the Fanvil W710H, add the required parameters to the User Agent General Auto Provisioning Template under Settings → UAD → Fanvil W710H, or configure them directly for a specific extension in the UAD Auto Provisioning Template section.
