
This configuration guide explains how to configure the Algo 8180 IP Audio Alerter to work with PBXware v8.1
To ensure successful registration, first verify the Algo device model.
The model information is located on the back of the Algo device. This guide applies specifically to the Algo 8180. Configuration steps may differ for other models, so verifying the device model before proceeding is required to ensure correct setup.

To check the PBXware version:
At the top of the About page, you will see a code block similar to this:

The Release field indicates the exact version of your PBXware.

To access the device web interface, first identify the IP address assigned to the Algo 8180.

1. Add Extension
Navigate to Extensions, then click Add Extension.
The standard options window will open.
Select the Algo 8180 device from the UAD dropdown menu.
In the Location field, select one of the following options:
- Local is for all Extensions registered on the LAN
- Remote is for all Extensions registered from remote networks, WAN, Internet etc..
Click the Next step button.
2. Extension Values
Enter values into the required fields:
REQUIRED FIELDS:
Enter a name for the Extension being created. Example: John Smith
Enter the e-mail address associated with this Extension. This e-mail address will receive all system notification messages. Example: john.smith@bicomsystems.com

Note: The Algo 8180 supports multiple SIP extension types, such as Ring/Alert Extension and Base/Page Extension. Enter the PBXware extension credentials in the section you want to configure.
Enter the PBXware extension username. Example: 1003

Enter the secret of the extension, as received in the e-mail associated with this extension. Example: _%Z4M3*Ts9y7 A password is generated automatically for each newly created extension.
Enter the extension number or a descriptive name for the extension. Example: John

The Line Number field specifies the position of the extension within the Algo 8180 configuration. The value entered in this field determines where PBXware will provision the extension on the device. For example, a value of 1 provisions the extension under Ring/Alert Extension, while a value of 2 provisions it under Base/Page Extension.

Note: The Line Number field is mandatory for Algo 8180 devices. If a valid line number is not entered, the extension will not be included in the device configuration.

Enter the MAC address of the Algo device. Example: 001565FF1536
NOTE: The MAC address can be found on the label at the back of the device.
